Venada formed in December 2011 in La Mirada, CA with Ian Sage on vocals, Jason Terrazas and Tyler Ruffino on guitars, and David Terrazas assuming the role of drummer. The band’s first year consisted of a handful of name changes and much trial and error before finally getting into a groove and settling on a sound. In early 2013, Venada entered the studio to record an EP while also acquiring Danny Salazar to fill the position of bassist. Upon completion of Venada EP, the band began to book a small run of shows around Southern California.

After 2014, the band backed off of playing shows to handle personal life happenings and re-evaluate musical direction. In 2016, Venada returned to polishing new songs, recording, and ultimately unveiling Venada 2.0 as they picked up shows through the Southern California area. As 2016 came to a close, Ian Sage stepped down as vocalist to pursue other ventures allowing Danny Salazar to step up and fill the position.
